Post racist era?

When Barack became President so many people (mainly whites) viewed America as being beyond it's ugly past. You know the past that ripped Africans away from there home land. The past that raped, killed, and enslaved our ancestors. The past that wouldn't even allow my grandfather to drink from the same fountain as a white woman. MSNBC host Chris Matthews saying after the recent State of the Union address of Barack "I forgot he was black". I wonder if he said he forgot Bush was white when he spoke. Having a black President doesn't mean blacks now have a voice. He can't possably represent just blacks because if he did he wouldn't be president. I recently had a conversation with someone who raised the point that blacks have more opportunities and that things are equal. Well after our conversation he saw things a little different. I told him about how in my 28 years I have been called nigger by whites as a child. How "black" names such as Shaquita and Rayshawn on resumes get pushed back down to the bottle of the stack. How why I do believe we have more opportunity that our parents and grandparents we have not come far enough. The civil rights movement was just 50 years ago. It takes generations to change the way people think. Basically 50 years doesn't erase the 500 we were set back. Why is it so hard for politicians and those on TV to admit the after effects of Americas greatest crime. The scars of such a horrific time may look healed on our skin but have been passed down in our DNA. An example of this is when we speak of reparations. Congress has said its to hard to trace our roots to pin point who should qualify but I beg to differ. Most states still have records of what slaves came into its harbors. In Maryland head to Annapolis to research ours. But the DNA scar I speak of is that one. White slave masters raping our female ancestors and fathering children. Diluting our heritage so that it would be harder to trace our roots. America is so quick to fight for the rights of others being mistreated around the world but fails to acknowledge its own short comings. In the movie "ALI" Will Smith put it best as he played Mohammed Ali when he said "You my opposer when I want freedom. You my opposer when I want justice. You my opposer when I want equality. Want me to go somewhere and fight for you? You won't even stand up for me right here in America, for my rights and my religious beliefs. You won't even stand up for my right here at home." Yes we have more black business owners and execs and those in management positions that ever. We also have more blacks in prison, poverty, and uneducated and thats the reality of the situation.

I'm saying, can I hold $20 baby?

Damn this is something that just popped in my mind. I remember it being a Martin episode. Ladies, I ask are yall cool with making more than your man? Shit, I guess I should be asking is would your man be cool with that. I would be. Makes me no never mind as long as you holding me down like I hold you down and that you understand sometimes things may be out of my budget. Like if yall were getting married and you wanted a $10k ring and all he could afford was $2k would you be cool? If you drove a BMW and he drove a Saturn would you be willing to ride shotgun? I mean we live in a society especially in the black world were our sistas will and can make more that the brothas. Black women complete college at a higher rate than men. Also when a company is looking to hire you they are killing to birds with one stone (your a woman and your ethnic). Also how would your family feel, particularly your parents. I mean you making $90k and he making $40k and to them it always seems like you supporting him. Would you expect him to pay for diner most of the time like most women do? You want a good man that will love and support you but that man may not come in the form of a $100 bill but rather a $20 and thats the reality of the situation.

CHILD SUPPORT...THE BIG PAY DAY

I don't know if yall have heard how much Russell Simmons is paying Kimora Lee in child support but I'm going to break it down. He agrees to pay $20k each for his daughters. Pretty steep huh? Well it doesn't stop there. He also has to buy Kimora a car that cost at least $60k and replace it every 3 years annnnnnnnd the buck doesn't stop there. He may only see his kids once every 8 weeks and on random holidays accompanied by at least a nanny and security person. You would think a man paying all that could see his kids whenever he wants. I'm sure hes also paying a huge chunk of loot in alimony to this woman and he gave her baby phat and is letting her run phat farm. Now I bring this up today to show how lopsided and foolish the Judaical system is when it comes to a dads parental rights and what he should provide for his kids. I wouldn't have a problem with the $40k if lets say $30k of it were going into some kind of saving for his daughters for future use. And the car thing is just out of this world. What, is this woman broke? We never know what goes on behind close doors but Russell is always portrayed as a loving father and I have never heard Kimora bad mouth him. Now this man is worth in excess of $400 million but does that mean he should just write his ex a check and let her decide how the money will benefit the children. I think when a man is paying child support a courts should audit the ex-spouses accounts each year to make sure that money is being used appropriately. Its bad enough that these young chicks will do anything for a rapper/athlete a drop once off in her drawers and this is why they do it. Child support should not be you meal ticket or your way out the hood. SAD SAD SAD. And thats the reality of the situation.

IIIIMMMMM BAAAAAACK

Damn yall sorry I haven't posted anything a while. Just been gone for a minute but now I'm back up in it. So much shit is going on in the world but the most pressing issue is our economy. So many people loosing there jobs and homes. Crazy. Along with those losses come gains in crime. Best believe if you flossing someone is watching. And when people are stressed out over money the usually turn to a familiar friend...the bottle. Some prefer goose, some prefer nuvo, some prefer henny (I know I do) and it sure shows. Every Friday when the work week ends for me I come home and have a glass of gold rum straight from Trinidad. Its mad strong and melos me out. I don't drink it to get drunk but just to chill. I also have an un-opened bottle of that black label henny (limited edition to honor Barack). I'm saving that though but I damn sure crushed the other bottle I bought. So I'm thinking people struggling trying to keep there money right but we all need things to keep our mind off our problems for just a lil bit. I hit this spot with my homeboys Saturday night, right. First off these dudes must not know its a recession cause it was $40 at the door. I'm like are you serious but fuck it cause we drove a lil ways so its whatever. I get in and its packed. Crowd is chill, everyone having a good time mingling and such. Then what seems to be the song of choice these days "blame it on the alcohol" comes on and I'm sure that's what everyone was doing the next day...blaming it on  the al al al al al cohol. Man everyone had a drink. And I mean drinks don't come cheap. I hope people were not charging those shots of patron to there visa cause 21% interest on that shot is a killer. But it was as if everyone had forgotten whatever issues or problems they are facing as Americans. And the best part was there wasn't anyone trying to act tough or get reckless. Mad chill. I know I was mad super relaxed thanks to the 3 hennys(straight) and the shot of whatever that bartender hooked me up with. On the way home I was telling my homeboy that I haven't been out in a while and I needed that. I'm sure I wasn't the only person saying that...and then the next day regretting it lol. But what I'm trying to say is it was good to see people smiling. I see so many sad faces on TV and in my office (I'm a banker if you ain't know, now you know) and it was truly nice to see people enjoying life. We all have to work hard to do our part in fixing America but we should also play hard when we can and that's the reality of the situation.

CONGRATS PRESIDENT OBAMA

What a moment we just witnessed. A black man officially named President of the United States. This accomplishment can not be overstated. I feel a great sense of pride because now the overwhelming image of a black man is not a drug dealer or thief. It's not a deadbeat dad. It's not a rapper or athlete. It's a Harvard grad. It's a black man married to a black woman. It's an image of intelligence, confidence, and strength. Say what you will but he is the right person for this job. I only have one concern. Its the notion that since we have a black president all is well in black America. Many have reference ML K's "I have a dream speech", saying that Barack is that dream. I think that Barack was in that dream but what Dr. King in visioned was much larger than The president and I'm sure even he would admit that. We all have a role to play and lets help him. Don't sit around waiting for him to help you. Over the course of his 1st term in office lets see black high school dropout rates go down. Lets see less black men going to jail. Lets see more black college grads. He can't make all of that happen on his own. Everyone is calling him an inspiration and I agree with that tag but I'm sure there will be days when he need inspiration and what better way to make sure he has it than by doing our part as black Americans and getting off our asses and making a difference wherever we can. Think about it.

WOMEN BE CREEPING

Yo fellas, have yall noticed how chicks be creeping? It use to be all about men being dogs but man woman be doing there thing these days. Picture this. Your a good dude. You respect your women, buy her things, and cook dinner. You work hard and have a bright future. You think that all of these things make your woman happy...or do they? Yes on the surface this would make most women happy but there is one thing that is very important in a relationship that people try and down play...its that 12 play. Making her body do the Harlem shake and making her toes curl to make a black power fist. Oh yes this is a must. If your not hitting it right best believe someone else is or will. She going out with her girls and she got her hair done rocking that freakum dress Beyonce told her to wear. Mean while you thinking like "shit she don't get done up like that for me. All I ever see her in is some big ass draws and a head wrap". She talking about "baby I love you but we just having a girls night out". Uh huh. She loves the attention she gets from other men. She tight and she knows it and other guys make sure to remind her daily so she knows she can get some on the hush if she want. All of a sudden that girls night out once a month turns in to three times a month. And the sex yall was having has dropped from 5 times a week to like 1. Sad. Now what you guys have to remember is that a women's sexual appetite grows with age. While ours winds down theirs is just getting started. Women don't hit there sexual peaks until after 30 so if you got to go get some of them "blue diamonds" to stay strong do it. Women love sex as much as men. They want a man to make love to them some nights and beat that thing like a pinata other nights. Pardon my french but you have to love her right and fuck her right. A women who isn't getting it right stands out like Shaq in a crowd of midgets. And most guys are cool with hitting that on the low even when they know she has a man at home. What do they care, they getting to ride around in a nice car without having to keep up any maintenance. The big thing is women are far better liars than men. If we cheat were bound to get caught but if she cheating you might not ever know until she wants you to know. Her girls won't tell you unless one of them wants to fuck, but that's another story for another time. Bottom line is keep your eyes on the prize...fill up her heart as well as her thighs...
